These Terms govern your use of AfricaRouter (“the Service”), an API gateway that routes requests to third-party AI model providers. By creating an account or using an API key you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

AfricaRouter provides a single, OpenAI-compatible API endpoint that forwards your requests to upstream model providers and meters usage. We do not own or train the underlying models; availability and outputs are provided by the respective providers.

2. Accounts & keys

You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys.
Keep your keys secret; you may rotate or revoke them at any time.
We may suspend accounts for abuse, fraud, or non-payment.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to break the law, infringe rights, generate harmful or abusive content, attempt to bypass usage limits, or violate the upstream providers’ own usage policies. We may filter or block requests to comply with provider terms.

4. Billing

The Service is pay-as-you-go. You pre-fund a credit balance; usage is metered per request and deducted from your balance. Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR). See the Refund Policy for credits and refunds.

5. Availability & liability

The Service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for upstream provider downtime, model outputs, or indirect damages, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. Changes
